The albums didn't receive much success, and Ford disappeared from the world of rock for several years. In 1988, Ford released her groundbreaking success album , 'Lita.' Kiss Me Deadly and Close My Eyes Forever Both of which were huge hits were two instances. However, she only did not last long and disappeared from the scene for a number of years. After releasing 'Black in 1995 and then a couple of years after that, "Wicked Wonderland" was released, she returned to the scene. The album she released in 2016, titled 'Time Capsule. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
